Program type: Talent Leader Forum
Family care work carries profound emotional and operational demands, yet burnout is often addressed as an individual challenge rather than a leadership and systems responsibility. This webinar explores burnout through a dual-perspective lens, drawing on national survey data gathered from both OPO leaders and frontline family care staff.
Participants will examine how leaders and staff report on emotional load, administrative burden, performance expectations, and available support. By comparing these perspectives, the session will highlight where leadership intent aligns with frontline experience—and where gaps may exist between expectations and capacity.
The discussion will focus on leadership practices that influence burnout risk, including how expectations are set during high-load periods, how leaders recognize early warning signs, and how support is communicated when challenges arise. The session will also explore how reframing burnout from a “resilience issue” to a “capacity and design issue” can shift both culture and outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
• Interpret comparative data from frontline staff and leaders
• Distinguish between individual resilience and organizational capacity issues
• Identify leadership practices that influence burnout risk
• Evaluate how coaching, check-ins, and recovery practices are currently used
• Commit to at least one actionable leadership change
