In the complex world of organ and tissue donation, technical knowledge is essential—but true impact comes from continuous growth, peer collaboration, and self-awareness. The new Cohort Certification Program for Donation Advocates is designed to elevate professionals beyond foundational skills, fostering a network of support, accountability, and professional mastery.

This year-long, interactive program brings together donation advocates from across the country, each representing a unique OPO, to learn, reflect, and grow together. By prioritizing psychological safety, the program creates a space where advocates can openly share challenges, exchange strategies, and build lasting professional relationships. Participants are paired with accountability partners, engage in bimonthly sessions, and receive one-on-one coaching, ensuring that learning is ongoing and deeply integrated into their daily practice.

The curriculum is grounded in evidence-based behavioral science and DeGarmo’s work style DNA, with a focus on real-world application. Advocates will explore mindset shifts, communication strategies, and self-reflection techniques that directly impact their effectiveness with families and teams. Whether you’re a seasoned advocate seeking renewed motivation or newer to the field, this certification offers a pathway to sustained growth and measurable results.
