Mindful Preparation: Enhancing Confidence Before the Donation Ask

This specialized course will provide Donation Advocates with essential strategies to navigate the critical moments leading up to the donation conversation, with a focus on mindful preparation, presence, and confidence. Participants will learn how to approach each interaction with intentionality, balancing emotional awareness with professional responsibility to create meaningful, trust-building connections with families and healthcare teams.

Gain actionable insights into how mindset, self-regulation, and preparation influence communication and decision-making. This course will help you strengthen your ability to gather information effectively without bias, adapt in real time without relying on scripts, and confidently guide conversations in ways that increase the likelihood of positive authorization outcomes while supporting families through their most challenging moments.

Learn about the connection between preparation, presence, and human connection—and what it means in the context of donation advocacy to show up authentically and effectively. By developing greater self-awareness and adaptability, you will be better equipped to create the conditions that support thoughtful, informed decisions while providing compassionate, respectful support to every family you serve.
